This course guides you through an STPA mini project to apply for the STPA Practitioner Certificate. You will choose a system and apply STPA in four iterations using the provided templates. You will submit your work during each iteration, and you'll receive individual instructor comments and feedback to incorporate on the next iteration. The final submission is evaluated against the certificate criteria. If the criteria are met, you will receive the STPA Practitioner Certificate.
Prerequisites: Prior to this course, you must complete the System Safety and STPA course as well as the live STPA exercises course.
STPA Certification Track
Prerequisites: You must first complete the Safety Engineering and STPA course before Nov 17, and complete the live exercises course scheduled for Nov 17 and 19. These must be purchased separately.
When: You will complete the STPA project over the course of four weeks during February 2026. There are four iterations of the project, which gives you about 1 week to complete each iteration.
